Mark Jaine

Mark's leadership and pursuit of excellence have taken Intelex from a niche software provider to a major player in the global EHS and Quality software market. Mark has held various leadership positions within Intelex since he joined the company in 1999, ranging from VP Business Development to Executive Vice President, taking over as President in 2006 and then President & CEO in 2009. Mark has played a founding role in almost every aspect of Intelex’s current business with key operational experience ranging from marketing to sales to services to product management to R&D to finance and human resources. Mark has made Intelex an EHSQ market leader by conceiving of many advancements that have now become industry standards, such as Intelex’s Configurable Reports tool, Configurable Dashboards, Application Builder, the first EHSQ social network with the Intelex-Exchange, and most recently with the launch of the first online/offline mobile platform with the Intelex EverSync Platform. In addition to product innovation Mark has established Intelex as a sales, services and culture leader and can often be found speaking on these topics within the technology industry. Mark has led Intelex to be a recipient of many awards, including the Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies, Fast 50 Companies, TechConnex Company of the Year, Canada’s Top Employer and Best Small/Medium Sized Employers in Canada. Mark also is a recipient of the AceTech Leadership Award from the AceTech Ontario, an association of Canadian Technology Companies, a group which Mark also serves on the board of. Mark has been the driving force behind Intelex’s ability to achieve >40% CAGR over the past 10 years and our clear vision to grow the EHSQ software market over decades to come.

Chief Customer Officer

Derek Smyth

Derek is Chief Customer Officer at Intelex. He has over than 20 years of experience helping companies fast-track their growth strategy as both a venture capitalist and technology executive. Most recently, Derek was Chief Operating Officer at Vision Critical where he consistently delivered over 25% revenue growth annually. Previous to this, Derek served as Managing Director at OMERS Ventures where he successfully led numerous investments for technology companies including Hootsuite, Hopper, BuildDirect, Desire2Learn, Fusebill, Vidyard, and others. Derek also served as a partner at EdgeStone Capital where he managed investments for numerous companies including Varicent Software (purchased by IBM) and Rypple (purchased by Salesforce.com). Before entering the world of venture capital, Derek held operational roles as CEO of Bridgewater Systems (purchased by Amdocs) where he was instrumental in the company’s turnaround, and as COO of Ironside Technologies (purchased by SSA) where he was responsible for global sales, marketing, product and professional services. In his spare time, Derek enjoys golfing.

James Rumble

James is Chief Financial Officer at Intelex. He has worked in a variety of industries including SaaS, retail, airlines and telecommunications. Over the last 10 years, James has held various transformative strategic roles and has cultivated expertise in growing private equity backed technology companies. Before joining Intelex, James was CFO at Hootsuite from 2011-2015 where he was instrumental in delivering global growth for the SaaS based social media management system. From 2006 - 2010, James was Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Canpages, a Canadian local search company that achieved a full strategic exit when sold to Yellow Media. Away from work James enjoys time with his family, hiking, photography and sport.

Elie Mouzon

Elie is Chief Strategy Officer at Intelex and is responsible for aligning organization vision, strategy and delivery to expand our customer base. Prior to joining Intelex, Elie was Director of Product Management and Director of the Sustainability Practice at an environmental technology company. Elie has designed Environment, Health and Safety, Quality, Corporate Governance, and Risk Management software solutions for the past 12 years and worked with hundreds of global companies to improve their compliance and overall performance in these areas. Elie has a Master of Science in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at Bristol University, UK, and a Master of Engineering at E.N.S.A.M. College, France. In 2005, Elie graduated with a Master of Philosophy in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the Cambridge-MIT Institute program, at Cambridge University, UK with first degree honours.

Mike Hicks

Mike is Chief Technical Officer at Intelex. He is a seasoned information technology professional with more than 15 years of experience in the software industry. With an educational background in Computer Science Mike gained his passion for web-hosted, database driven systems while working in a new media company that was one of Canada’s first to develop and host streaming video content. This provided a perfect backdrop for him to join Intelex in 2000 as an IT specialist and system administrator just as Intelex migrated to a web -based platform. Mike has played a lead role in everything from system development to mobile application strategy and has worked with hundreds of clients across all industries. In his current role, Mike ensures innovation, collaboration and excellence within Platform Development, Quality Assurance and Information Technology.

Donald Dew

Donald is Senior Vice President, Engineering at Intelex and brings over 25 years of experience in the technology sector. Don directs all aspects of Intelex’s strategic product planning and development. He has extensive experience with applications, having managed dozens of trading floor applications, combined with specialized application support in international marketplaces. Donald has worked with high performance, high scale applications and focuses on building applications that thrive, through best practice application and software development. He started his career as a programmer working with software applications and prior to Intelex he was CTO and EVP Product Management for Critical Path. He has worked with numerous technology companies in various senior management positions including: Product Management, Software Design and Development and Enterprise Software Strategy and has been the driving force behind cutting-edge teams in the fields of finance, secure document exchange and telecommunications.

Cory Gendron

Cory is Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Intelex. Cory brings more than 15 years of experience in environmental, health, safety, quality and risk management. Cory is responsible for Intelex's go-to-market planning and execution. His responsibility also extends to expanding Intelex’s partner ecosystem, which includes local and international implementation, reseller and third party development partners. He has extensive international experience with a proven track record of forging strong strategic relationships designed to drive growth and expand product commercialization. He also possesses in-depth industry knowledge which he has translated into highly successful environmental, health and safety (EHS) strategies for large, multinational corporations in the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Consumer Goods and Chemical sectors. Cory has served in a number of progressive business development and leadership roles in both the private and public sector. Prior to joining Intelex Cory served as Vice President, EHS&Sustainability Business Solutions at CH2M Hill and Executive Vice President, Optimized Systems and Solutions at Rolls-Royce. Cory holds a B.Sc. in Environmetrics from the University of Guelph.

Dan Marcus

Daniel Marcus is Vice President of Operational Excellence at Intelex where he works to continuously improve customer service. His decade of experience in the environmental, health, safety and quality industry began at Intelex in 2007. Over the years, Daniel has made significant contributions to almost every department within Intelex including sales, services, product management, finance, professional development and operations. His Operational Excellence role includes ensuring smooth operations of Intelex’s day-to-day systems; working with the senior leadership team to identify, track, measure, analyze and interpret key performance metrics; and working company-wide to help organize and execute key initiatives. Through these activities, he is able to ensure that customer needs are met and any problems are quickly corrected. Daniel holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Western Ontario.

Denise Jasienczyk

Denise is the Senior Vice President, Customer Engagement at Intelex having joined in 2016.  Denise was previously the Executive Vice President Customer Success and Operation at Vision Critical, where she grew a small team of 15 account managers to a group of 200+ client facing and operational staff managing 500+ blue chip clients. With more than 20 years of experience in customer experience management, client management, and professional services, she has a proven track record of building world class customer experiences and high performance client facing teams.  Prior to joining Vision Critical, Denise worked with Intrawest on the Customer Experience team, and at RMG Connect as a Strategic Planner.

Holly Tiessen

Holly is Senior Vice President, Customer Success at Intelex and is responsible for ensuring customers are realizing the full value of Intelex’s solutions. Holly has worked in technology and innovation for 20 years, touching everything from enterprise software sales to client success to entrepreneurship. Holly has spent much of her career at IBM, where she achieved dramatic results as both a salesperson and leader, before transitioning to innovative employee engagement company Achievers where she continued to attain outstanding results in client success. Holly is a recognized leader in developing customer success strategies, advising start-ups and speaking at events. Holly is passionate about leading change, building teams, generating new business, and partnering with clients. Away from work Holly enjoys time with her family exploring Toronto, biking adventures around the world and spending time at the cottage.

Bryden Waggott

As the Vice President of Solution Management, Bryden oversees the design of the Intelex product vision. He aligns the product organization to deliver industry leading solutions addressing environmental, health, safety, and quality, as well as supplier management requirements.  Bryden joined Intelex in 2004 and has since played a vital role in the business development of the company. His expertise spans the full breadth of the Intelex platform and solutions, and developing deep understanding of ever-evolving customer needs. Bryden holds a Masters of Environmental Management from Griffith University.

Kristen Duda

Kristen brings more than 13 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management consulting to Intelex. As a professional engineer, she has hands-on experience implementing environmental compliance programs and strategies for large, multinational manufacturing corporations and defense agencies. Most recently, she served as Vice President with CH2M, a global engineering and consulting firm. While at CH2M, Kristen was responsible for spearheading highly successful environmental sales strategies, which led to double digit growth in the EHS consulting and information management practices, as well as industrial market verticals. Kristen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Brett Roberts

Brett Roberts is Managing Director of Intelex’s Denver office and environmental management information systems (EMIS) services. He has more than 25 years of experience in the environmental, health and safety consulting industry. Brett is dedicated to helping Intelex clients become better environmental stewards by applying data to meet compliance standards. As an industry leader, Brett has successfully implemented organizational change to drive growth and operational improvements of business units. Most recently, he served as Environmental Services Operations Manager at CH2M, a global engineering and consulting firm, operating out of Denver. There, he led teams in implementing EHS and information management software to solve their clients’ biggest challenges throughout verticals including manufacturing, mining and metals, and oil and gas. Brett holds a Master’s of Science in Earth Science from Waikato University, New Zealand. LinkedIn

Bevin Lyon

Bevin is Vice President of Sales Strategy and Enablement at Intelex where he uses his unique understanding of the EHSQ landscape to help customers find meaningful solutions.  In his role, Bevin is responsible for providing commercial go-to-market sales strategy along with the execution of Intelex’s sales development plan. He has a keen ability to synthesize field requirements and corporate resources into a comprehensive sales development plan, including the rollout of commercial insights. Bevin also ensures that Intelex sales reps are equipped with the skills, content, training, knowledge and resources available to match customers with the right solutions. He holds a B.S. in Software Engineering from McMaster University.

Shannon Summers

Shannon is Vice President of Growth Sales at Intelex. Her leadership experience includes more than five years in the environmental, health, safety and quality industry managing high-performing services and sales teams. Shannon is responsible for leading Intelex’s growth sales department and business development team. With a deep understanding of the customer journey on both the sales and services sides, she assists customers in finding success from their first introduction to Intelex. Shannon provides mentorship and guidance to her team to develop best practices that drive process improvement that support the execution of Intelex’s growth sales.  Previously, Shannon managed Intelex’s midmarket services team. She has a proven record of strong leadership, accelerating scalable growth and creating a winning culture. She holds a bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
