Intelex Celebrates TechConnex Technology Company of the Year Award
May 30, 2014
Leading provider of EHSQ management recognized for leadership in technology industry
TORONTO — Intelex Technologies is proud to announce it has been named a winner of TechConnex’s "Technology Company of the Year" award. This is the first year Intelex has won this award, which recognizes business leadership, excellence in innovation and a commitment to the knowledge-based sector in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
The TechConnex Technology Leadership Awards are highly competitive and held by TechConnex annually. Consideration in the "Technology Company of the Year" category requires an organization to demonstrate increasing profitability, community involvement, thought leadership and sound business fundamentals. Organizations must also have a minimum of eight years in the business, which allows judges to analyze the organization’s growth and track record.
Intelex has been developing software for over two decades that helps companies across all industries manage performance, compliance and risk across all business activities, particularly environment, health, safety (EHS) and quality management programs. With year over year growth of 35-40% for the past eight years, Intelex has emerged as one of the leading software companies in Canada. Intelex was recently recognized as the EHS vendor with the greatest ability to execute in the marketplace, in the recently released Gartner Magic Quadrant for Environment, Health and Safety Management Systems.
A unique aspect of the TechConnex Technology Leadership Awards is the selection process. Nominations for each category in the awards were solicited from the Board, members of TechConnex and from the community at-large. The call for names was also shared via Twitter and posted on tech community sites spanning the GTA. Other categories that the awards acknowledge include the top technology organizations in the areas of Most Promising Start-up, Momentum Company of the Year, Technology Market Expansion Leader, Technology Enabler and Lifetime Achievement award.
"We are very excited to be named Tech Company of the Year by TechConnex," said Intelex President and CEO Mark Jaine. "Not only does it reinforce our strength as a software provider, but it also recognizes our cohesive teamwork. This award is validation of the strength and talent we have within our organization and how our dedicated team at Intelex help us to achieve new levels of success."
In addition to being named Technology Company of the Year by TechConnex, Intelex has received a variety of other awards and accolades in recent years. With five consecutive years on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 North America and inclusion in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Canada, Intelex is also regularly named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
