Data Point Types

The key functions of the Data Point Types are to:

Provide a consistent format for Data Points

Speed up the Data Point development process by enabling 'Data Point Templates' to be created

Enable the creation of multiple selection data points, such as dropdowns, check-boxes and radio buttons

Enable the assignment of values to variables available in dropdowns, etc.

Enable the creation of IDD Action Data Points

Set validation requirements for Data Points

By default, Intelex pre-loads the system with commonly used Data Point Types. This standard set of points should be adequate for common field formats, so users may not need to create new Data Point Types for some Forms.

Data Point Types can be created in the iForms system to capture several default Data Point attributes. The Data Point Type is available through a selectable dropdown on the Data Point Setup screen. By selecting a Data Point Type for a Data Point, the Data Point will inherit the attributes that were set for the selected Data Point Type. All of these attributes can be modified when building a form.
