The urgency to find a way to manage EH&S compliance is on: Software provides some easy answers

If managing a comprehensive EHS program isn’t complicated enough, add in the myriad of regulations being handed down through local and national governments and the job quickly becomes overwhelming. To assess available options for managing these requirements, EHS managers are gathering in Dallas on February 9th and 10th to assess available solutions.

Chief among the concerns of EHS practitioners is having one central repository for regulatory information to eliminate the silos of data that are crippling their current programs. The ability to instantly access enterprise wide reports and dashboards in real-time on this critical information is no longer the pipe dream it once was. Software offered by companies like Toronto base Intelex Technologies allows for easy, web based access to data without the cumbersome need to collate information from multiple sources.

Intelex will be one of several software solutions being showcased at the EHS Information Management Workshop and Expo hosted by Trinity Consultants running February 9 & 10, in Dallas TX.

Bryden Waggott who will be hosting Intelex’s Technology Showcase says “It’s not just the amount of information that is being requested, it’s that many organizations don’t have systems in place to red flag critical issues if data is missing or hits unacceptable levels. A complete solution with escalating email notifications and task management capabilities is no longer a nice to have…”

One of the most interesting sessions of the 2 day event will be the final panel which will include one of each of the six vendors in attendance. Questions will be collected throughout the conference and the posed to the panel to ensure delegates have a full understanding of the solutions available.

Whichever software EHS practitioners choose to go with, there are many questions that must be answered like how quickly can it be implemented, will it integrated seamlessly with their other IT systems and how can they ensure that it will meet the specific needs of their organization? Questions that no doubt will be answered on February 9 & 10th in Dallas.
