As part of the Global Services & Support Department, the Training Specialist is responsible for providingonsite and online training to clients to provide education on the best practices on the use andadministration of the Intelex system.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Researches, develops, prepares and facilities onsite and online training.
Demonstrates best practices use of the module functionality and administration.
Creates and maintains courseware material for each module and Intelex suite to reflect best practices.
Prepares training sites and databases for training courses.
Analyzes and interprets user requirements, technical specifications and application features andfunctions and translate into appropriate training formats.
Applies adult learning principles to training material to facilitate the ease of learning.
Determines appropriate channels for training delivery.
Maintains program content with periodic updates and revisions to ensure materials are current andcontinue to deliver desired results.
Acts as a product knowledge expert and continually seeks opportunities to update product knowledgecapabilities.
Coordinates the scheduling of training requests.
Adapts product capabilities to meet specific client business needs where necessary.
Maintenance of a baseline utilization rate of 80%, and consistent completion of scheduled training.
Reports to the Vice President of Central Services.
Fosters close cooperative relationships with peers within the cross functional teams.
College diploma or University degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, InformationTechnology or a related field.
Software Training experience preferred.
1-2 years of experience delivering training material to individuals and groups.
1-2 years designing training material focused on adult learning.
A solid understanding of adult learning principles, potential roadblocks to learning, and associatedsolutions.
Ability to understand and adapt to various audiences within the Organization (diverse individuals,groups, and levels of expertise).
Ability to engage and build relationships with external clients.
Expert-level skills in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Quality Management Systems would beconsidered a strong asset.
Experience in software development methodologies would be considered an asset.
