The Town of Stony Plain is located just 17 kilometres west of Edmonton and enjoys all the advantages of a major centre while developing and maintaining its own unique character. The Town has a pride in its history which began in 1881 when the first homestead in the area was documented. In 1892 the area was known as Dog Rump Creek until a post office was named for the region and it became Stony Plain. The Town of Stony Plain is using Intelex's Quality Nonconformances application.
