The Quality Assurance Analyst ensures quality in the software product through testing and evaluation. Theresponsibilities of the QA Team Lead include testing web based applications, documentation andapplication performance management for Intelex’s product and its clients.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Responsible for the development and execution of manual test cases and scripts.
Develops automated tests by implementing test cases using the tools that are selected as appropriateto accomplish product automation.
Assists in defining Intelex's testing methodologies and quality control standards.
Create and execute release and upgrade test plans.
Troubleshoot defects and manage defect tracking and resolution processes so that a consistent,documented process is used and followed.
Fully document any unexpected anomalies or defects identified in testing with instruction of how torecreate each.
Anticipate potential software issues by creating exhaustive test scenarios that ensure comprehensivetesting.
Ensure that defects and requirement variances are being appropriately communicated todevelopment for correction.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with peers in Development, Product Management,Professional Services and external clients.
Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.
Create additional documentation to assist and record the testing effort.
Work with business resources to understand the purpose and concept for software features.
Clearly and concisely report and resolve issues uncovered during testing.
Communicate clearly and promptly with project stakeholders.
Interacting with the QA, Development, IT and Client Services teams to ensure that the solution functionality is well tested and documented.
Ensure 100% business requirement coverage and 100% bug elimination
Ensure critical bugs do not occur after a new feature is released.
Ensure proper test documentation complete.
Reports to a Quality Assurance Team Lead.
Builds and maintains relationships with cross functional teams within the organization.
College or University degree in Computer Science, or other comparable degree.
2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or related field.
Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases.
Experience testing web-based applications and monitoring program performance.
Ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software and to discuss issues with variousstakeholders throughout the company.
Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical specifications for a webapplication.
Experience with the full software development lifecycle including design, testing, deployment anddocumentation activities.
Knowledge of QA best practice and testing methodologies.
Can create clear, condensed reports on results and findings.
Pro-active in finding information and solutions.
Experience with automated testing (specifically QTP).
Experience with Scrum, Waterfall, GAMP, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
Intelligent and intuitive, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter who has initiative and is eager to learn.
Ability to work well both individually and within a group.
Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn, understand and follow internal processes.
CSTE, CASQ, CSQA, and ISTQB are preferred.
Client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge of government regulations and quality standards pertaining to the food andpharmaceutical industry (GAMP, ISO90000, 21 CFR Part 11), considered an asset.
Experience with EHSQ systems would be considered a definite asset.
