Their objective…to explore for minerals in the remote wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, just three years after iron ore was discovered near what is now Negaunee, Michigan, in 1844. Crew Gold is an international mining company currently focused on restructuring and maximizing the performance of its gold resource projects. Crew’s operations include: an operating gold mine in Guinea with a carbon-in-pulp (CIP) gold processing plant and a recently revised 2009 production target of between 220,000 to 240,000 ounces; a gold mine in the Philippines with a refurbished 500 tonnes per day (“tpd”) carbon-in-leach (CIL) gold processing plant and an expected annual production target of 25,000 to 30,000 ounces; and a refurbished processing plant in, Newfoundland, Canada. Grande Cache Coal Corporation (GCC) operates both surface and underground mining operations in the Grande Cache, Alberta area. The Company produces a premium, low volatile, metallurgical coking coal for export to the world steel industry. The David Bell gold mine is located two kilometres east of Williams Operating Corporation. The mill at Williams Operating Corporation processes ore from Williams Operating Corporation underground and open pit operations, as well as ore that is trucked from the nearby David Bell underground mine.
