The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for design, development, delivery and management of training solutions to all Intelex employees as well as embracing opportunities for continuous improvement in course design and delivery.
Responsibilities and Deliverables
Responsible for the delivery of the Corporate Onboarding training program for all new employees.
With training and coaching support, must be willing to become an Intelex subject matter expert with in-depth product knowledge and understanding of the business.
Provide post-training coaching support to employees in the field to enhance product knowledge learning transfer.
Work in collaboration with Intelex Subject Matter Experts (SME) to consult and obtain information required to develop training content and all required courseware.
Maintain course and program content with periodic updates and revisions to ensure materials are current and continue to deliver desired results.
Responsible for the management of evaluation methods that will help measure satisfactory achievement of the learning objectives, learner knowledge, transfer of learning and business impact.
Manage and coordinate the corporate course calendar schedule to ensure that attendance is at an 80 capacity rate.
Design and develop learning solutions with focus on instructor-led training and e-learning.
Contributes to the Learning and Development Team planning of all training related projects and activities.
Manage and maintain the Learning Management System platform, content and schedules.
Responsible for the communication and marketing of training courses and activities that will help support and drive a culture of learning within the organization
Prepare monthly reports and metrics to ensure and validate the overall learning effectiveness of programs.
Manage and updates employee training records on monthly basis.
Provides an inspirational learning experience for all new employees who attend the Corporate Onboarding program.
Successfully delivers on all aspects of the instructional design methodology.
Key contributing factor to Employee Growth.
Reports to the Director of Learning & Development
Works in collaboration with the Learning Consultant on training projects and activities.
Works in partnership with members of the Human Resources team supporting the recruitment process and employee engagement experience.
Builds, foster and grows close relationships with peers within cross functional teams.
College diploma or University degree in Information Technology & Systems or a related field.
2-3 years of proven experience developing and delivering training to individuals and groups utilizing all aspects of the adult learning principles.
Software training experience required.
Experience in e-learning course design.
Previous experience with a Learning Management System would be an asset.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills are required
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven competency/skills should include – flexibility, decision making, relationship management, project management and collaborate team player
Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Quality Management Systems would be considered a strong asset.
