Implementation Specialist

Position Overview

As part of the Global Services & Support Division, the Implementation Specialist is responsible for leading small to mid-size clients through their entire Intelex software implementation. Implementation Specialists may also work as part of a project team for larger client implementations. Due to our broad client base, travel of approx. 30-40% will be required to our clients’ sites. The Implementation Specialist will report directly to the department manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

Project Management / Accounting

  • Leads multiple, small to mid-size client’s implementation projects.
  • Provide direction and support to clients throughout the implementation process.
  • Prepare Statement of Work for each project and associated project plans.
  • Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities in accordance with project schedule.
  • Coordinate all tasks / activities as required for client implementations including the management of configuration and customization projects.
  • Timely submission of time and expense reports, ensuring project team does the same.

Training Delivery

  • Determine and deliver customized training during the project implementation.
  • Assists in the development of customer specific training and implementation material.

Analysis and Solution Definition

  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with clients to identify business objectives.
  • Develops detailed requirements specifications and prototypes for client review and approval.
  • Conducts specifications and prototype review meetings to validate requirements.
  • Conducts design review meetings to ensure developed system meets all requirements.
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.

Technical Recommendation and Testing

  • Serve as subject matter expert with respect to best practice implementation strategies.
  • Ensure optimal system functionality through design of reports, dashboards and homepages.
  • Assist in Integration and Acceptance Testing.
  • Understands Intelex' product release and patch process, planning potential client impact accordingly.
  • Works with ASD to facilitate the resolution of client technical problems.

Project Execution

  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
  • Advise customers on project approach and impact to project timelines and resources.
  • Manage client expectations and project scope to original requirements.
  • Enforce project deadlines and schedules.
  • Provides support during implementation phase.
  • Conducts post implementation review for IP capture of best practices.
  • Identifies success story candidates for announcement to client community.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
  • [3-5] years Consulting experience.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide, multi-site software solutions.
  • Familiar with software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
  • Strong technical skills specifically related to cloud computing and database methodology and reporting tools, such as SQL-Server and business objects.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Quality Management Systems.
