AEP ranks among the nation's largest generators of electricity, owning nearly 38,000 megawatts of generating capacity in the U.S. AEP also owns the nation's largest electricity transmission system, a nearly 39,000-mile network that includes more 765 kilovolt extra-high voltage transmission lines than all other U.S. transmission systems combined. AEP uses the Intelex Safety Management System, Master Incidents Module, and iForms System. Altalink is Canada's only fully independent transmission company. They are responsible for the maintenance and operation of approximately 11,600 kilometres of transmission lines and 260 substations in Alberta. AltaLink utilizes the Intelex Quality Management to maintain their ISO 9001:2000. AltaLink installed the Intelex system in the fourth quarter of 2003. Case StudyBruce Power is Canada’s first private nuclear generating company and the source of more than 20% of Ontario’s electricity. Located approximately 250 kilometres northwest of Toronto, they currently operate six reactor units and are in the process of restarting two more at our Bruce A generating station. Bruce Power is currently utilizing Intelex's Safety Management System. Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. is owned by and provides wholesale power to six regional and 51 local electric cooperative systems in Missouri, northeast Oklahoma and southeast Iowa that serve more than 850,000 customers. They use Intelex’s Environment Management System, Safety Management Suite, and iForms. Caribbean Utilities Company, Ltd., known locally as "CUC", commenced operations as the only public electric utility in Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands, in May 1966. Their 185 employees are committed to providing a safe and reliable electricity supply to more than 20,000 customers. Caribbean Utilities Company is currently utilizing Intelex's Environmental Management System as well as Safety Management Suite. Collingwood Utility Services is a community owned utility that provides reliable electricity and water services to its customers. They are currently utilizing the Intelex Integrated Management System. Horizon Utilities Corporation is the third largest municipally owned electricity distribution company in Ontario and provides electricity and related utility services to over 230,000 residential and commercial customers in Hamilton and St. Catharines. Horizon Utilities utilizes both Intelex's Safety Management & Business Performance Management Systems. Hydro One Brampton is part of the Hydro One family of companies. The regulator for Hydro One Brampton is the Ontario Energy Board. They are currently utilizing Intelex's Environmental and Health & Safety management system. For more than a century, Landis+Gyr has helped utilities manage energy better. Their meters and solutions empower utilities and end-customers to improve their energy efficiency, reduce their energy costs and contribute to a sustainable use of resources. Landis+Gyr uses the Intelex Safety Management System. Macquarie Generation is one of Australia's leading electricity generators - a State-Owned Corporation (SOC) established on 1 March 1996 in line with government reforms to the New South Wales electricity sector. Utilizing Intelex's Environmental Management System, Macquarie Generation achieved ISO 14001 Certification in 2005. NRG Energy, a leading competitive energy provider was founded in 1989. NRG owns and operates a variety of energy-related operations worldwide and utilizes Intelex's Environmental Management System and iForms System. SaskPower has implemented the Intelex Health & Safety System throughout all their operations in Saskatchewan and has implemented an organization wide OHSAS 18001 system. SaskPower is a provincial power utility with over 2,600 employees. US Power Generating Company (”USPowerGen”) owns and operates eight power generation facilities with a total capacity of over 5,000 Megawatts (MW). USPowerGen subsidiaries sell their energy and capacity into the NYISO and ISO-New England deregulated markets. The combined company represents generation sufficient to serve approximately 20% of the overall load in New York City as well as approximately 50% of the overall load in the Boston metropolitan area. USPowerGen uses the Intelex Environmental Management System, Safety Management Suite, and License Management Module.  Western Area Power Administration markets and delivers reliable, cost-based hydroelectric power and related services within a 15-state region of the central and western U.S. They are one of four power marketing administrations within the U.S. Department of Energy whose role is to market and transmit electricity from multi-use water projects. Western Area Power Administration is currently utilizing Intelex's Training Management solution.
