As part of the Human Resources department, the Corporate Trainer is responsible for delivering training solutions to all employees of Intelex Technologies Inc., as well as embracing opportunities for continuous improvement in course design and delivery.
The Corporate Trainer is an accessible and professional individual who respects the learning needs of the target audience and adapts accordingly to increase their retention and confidence. The Corporate Trainer does more than simply facilitate a classroom; they are an integral part of an employee's career development.
The Corporate Trainer will be expected to begin delivering corporate training programs within 30 days of hire. Training courses may be conducted both live and/or online. This role does not involve travel.

Responsibilities and Deliverables
Responsible for developing and organizing in-depth technical training for employees.
Collaborates with Product Development, Operations, and Product Management to obtain information required to develop training materials on all aspects of the product
Develops training content based on delivery model – classroom, webinars, eLearning etc.
Tailors training content based on trainee’s Intelex employees specific needs to ensure our partners and customers are effectively supported through the product knowledge capabilities of our team.
Contributes to team planning for both training and course development schedules
Delivers Training Programs / Modules based on training plan requirements and according to a internal client-driven schedule
Incorporates motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention.
Builds training and train-the-trainer programs
Supports development of e-learning solutions
Ensures new training methodologies incorporated into training approach
From a personal development perspective continually keeps up on best practices in development and training
Degree or Diploma from a federally recognized University or College (degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines will be considered an asset)
Technical Training experience required; you will also support non-technical training initiatives from time to time
2-3 years of experience delivering training material to individuals and groups
2-3 years designing training material focused on adult learning
A solid understanding of adult learning principles, potential roadblocks to learning, and associated solutions
Ability to understand and adapt to various audiences within the Organization (diverse individuals, groups, and levels of expertise)
Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Is adept at working both autonomously and as part of a Team
Excellent ability to breakdown concepts and clarify information for understanding.
Excellent time-management and project management skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Quality Management Systems would be considered a strong asset
Experience in software development methodologies would be considered an asset
A positive attitude and demeanour is an essential (and non-negotiable) requirement of this role
