Corporate Recruiter

Intelex Technologies Inc. is seeking a full time Corporate Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. Intelex is a growing company with aggressive growth plans over the foreseeable future, and we require robust internal recruiting functions to help us drive this growth.

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager the Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for proactively identifying and selecting candidates, conducting first line interviews and recommending candidates for interview by management staff. The Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for promoting Intelex, building a database of candidates and maintaining contact with top candidates on an ongoing basis.

The main focus for this role is to identify and attract passive talent. Having a deep understanding of Technical Recruiting, especially screening within Microsoft Technologies. (including: .Net, C#, SQL)

The Corporate Recruiter will also work with the Marketing Department and Human Resources for the recruiting portion of the Intelex.com website, and will aid in maintaining a strong and attractive presentation online for potential employees.

The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing proactive sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Corporate Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Develop an ongoing database of short term and long term candidates
  • Conduct candidate screening and first line interviews
  • Maintain market intelligence related to compensation plans and benefits
  • Reporting on headcount, candidate pipeline and other recruiting metrics
  • Maintain Candidate database
  • Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans
    • Assist in the Creation and maintenance of job descriptions
    • Utilize passive recruiting tools
    • Cold calling passive candidates and generating referrals
    • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
    • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
    • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates
  • Network through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees
    • Aid public relations in establishing a recognizable "employer of choice" reputation for the company, both internally and externally
    • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings
    • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates and sources
  • Coordinate and Implement College Recruiting Initiatives
    • Coordinate college recruiting initiatives
    • Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting
    • Give presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and increase college awareness of the company before and after career fairs
  • Administrative Duties and Record Keeping
    • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements
    • Conduct pre-screening interviews
    • Create candidate profiles for potential candidates when providing to hiring manager
    • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the appropriate formats and databases
    • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees
    • Assist in writing and forwarding rejection letters
    • Assist in interviewing and selecting employees onsite
    • Assist in preparing and sending new employee orientation packages
    • Perform other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical recruiting in Microsoft Development environments.
  • Dedicated experience to proactive recruitment of passive candidates.
  • Strong knowledge of Software Development practices, and Lifecycles.
  • Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent time-management and project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Proven ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resources work
  • Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Degree or Diploma from a federally recognized University or College (degrees in Human Resources, Administration, Recruiting, and Psychology will be considered an asset)
    • Three to five years of human resources experience required
    • Three to five years of corporate recruiting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality Management would be considered a strong asset
