Intelex to Conduct Workshop at Internal Audit for the Public Sector Conference

Intelex Technologies Inc., a leader in Audit Management Software for Environmental, Quality, and Health & Safety (EQH&S) management, will be conducting a workshop at this year's Internal Audit for the Public Sector Conference taking place at the Chateau Cartier Resort in Ottawa, Ontario on October 24, 2006.

Attendees are invited to see Intelex's workshop entitled "Continuous Auditing: Technology Implications for Assurance, Monitoring, and Risk Assessment" which will be conducted by Stephen Ross, International Account Executive, Intelex Technologies Inc.

Workshop Outline: Internal audit departments are involved extensively with compliance efforts due to the Federal Accountability Act and the New Policy of Internal Audit. Technology plays a key role on internal auditing and with the added pressures, it is necessary to improve methods of ongoing evaluation of internal controls and maintain independence while evaluating risk and governance processes.

In this interactive workshop, attendees are encouraged to bring laptops to experience the Intelex System firsthand. The workshop will address how web based technology:

• Helps overcome the challenges of the internal audit;
• Enables continuous control assessment;
• Uncovers inefficiencies and non-compliance risks;
• Facilitates audit plans and follow-up procedures;
• Ensures integrity of data;
• Eases creation of management and audit reports.

The workshop is set to take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
